Field Sales Representative UK Midlands and North We are pleased to be working on this new vacancy with a prestigious client of ours who seek a Field Sales Representative in the Midlands and North of the UK. The UK is mentioned as the company headquarters are in Verden (Germany) and has branches in Belgium, France, Denmark and in the UK. They have decided to divide the UK into two field sales areas – one for the south and one for the midlands and the north – hence the new role.

Job Overview the Field Sales Representative UK Midlands and North

The Field Sales Representative UK Midlands and North has executive sales functions and must distribute the entire portfolio of our client. You must work independently from your home office whilst visiting new potential and existing customers.

As a Field Sales Representative you will have to develop existing business relationships and acquire new customers especially in the area of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield plus represent the company at exhibitions.

Field Sales Representative UK Midlands and North Reports to:

The General Manager Sales and the Inside Sales Team in Germany by doing the documentation of sales activities in the CRM-system. Our client expects a close cooperation between the Field Sales Representative and the Inside Sales Team. Meetings will be carried out with the General Sales Manager and the Managing Director Sales twice a year to talk about the strategy.

Qualifications & Personality of the Field Sales Representative UK Midlands and North

Education
A University degree in electrical engineering (or comparable degree) is an advantage.

Experience

  • Experience in sales of technical products is essential.
  • Experience in field sales activities with many customers is an advantage.
  • Experience in the relevant markets (machine and panel builders, drives and lift manufactures, railway, distributors, windmill manufactures and others) is an advantage.

Personality

  • Company loyalty is important.
  • Our client likes to work in long-term employee-employer relationships.
  • Therefore, they are looking for candidates who do not change companies every 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills are necessary.
  • Ability of self-organization and self-motivation is necessary.
  • A high willingness to travel is necessary. The Field Sales Representative has to be at least 3 days a week on the road to visit the customers.
