Senior New Homes Conveyancer Manager Essex

Senior New Homes Conveyancer Manager Essex. Our clients seek a Senior New Homes Conveyancer Manager of the New Build Team to report to the Designated Partner/Head of Legal Practice based in Billericay Essex although this position requires the post holder to be flexible in their working arrangements.

Job Description

  • Providing a comprehensive residential new build conveyancing service to clients over the telephone, via email exchange and face to face
  • Advising and updating clients on a regular basis as to their sale, purchase, refinancing and other property transactions
  • Liaising with other firms of solicitors, estate agents, surveyors, mortgage lenders, financial advisers and other professionals as necessary
  • Exchanging contracts when all enquiries have been dealt with completing transactions including submitting funds to discharge mortgages and reporting completion to all parties
  • Managing and building on existing caseload, building a rapport with clients to enable opportunities for repeat business and firm recommendations
  • Attending site launches and development meetings even if outside of working hours and outside of the office in order to build new contacts and build the work coming into the firm.
  • Ensuring the provision of a professional service and to maintaining contacts within the firm’s professional contacts and promoting the department
  • Complying with money laundering requirements and ensuring that client confidentiality is paramount and is maintained at all times
  • Displaying a high level of professionalism when visitors are in reception or on the telephone.
  • Complying with necessary governing bodies, attending webinars/seminars to collect CPD points where this is required of you
  • Ensure that any changes in legal issues or laws are kept up to date with and that the changes are applied to the way the department works and ensure the correct advice is given to the firm’s clients
  • To manage other members of staff within the New Build team and ensure they meet exchange deadlines and deal with their files as required by the firm. To cover the work for all New Build team members if they are off sick or on annual leave
  • To ensure that the New Build Department meets its target each month, quarter and year
  • Ensure the New Build team comply with all requirements of the HTB panel and lenders panels to ensure the firm’s position on these panels remains in place.
  • To ensure that cross referrals of work for the firm are adequately dealt with i.e. they are pursued and passed on to an appropriate member of staff within the firm.
  • To attract new work.
  • Any other tasks required by management from time to time.
